Sixth Form Open Evening – A Level Art and Photography

Did you see our A Level Fine Art/Photography Department at the Open Evening last week?!

It was great to speak to some future Wickersley Sixth Form Art and Photography students and find out how we can be a part of their next steps.

If you didn’t make it to Open Evening, here’s a little bit about our courses:

A Level Fine Art

This qualification enables students to explore the Fine Art disciplines like drawing, painting, mixed media and printmaking. Students will experience the different disciplines throughout a range of workshop based projects linked to different themes. From this, students will go on to specialise in their chosen area whilst developing their personal portfolio.

A Level Photography
Photography enables you to refine and select appropriate techniques for enhancing and manipulating photographs based on a variety of design briefs and contexts. Photography can lead to a wide range of career opportunities in the creative industries. Photography is important because all sectors of the job market require creative thinkers who can innovate, see and make connections, solve problems and make informed decisions and judgements. This course will give you many transferable skills you can use in the future.
