Wickersley Students Explore Cambridge University!

As part of the South Yorkshire Outreach Bus Tour scheme, on Monday the 1st of July, a group of our Early Entry students visited Cambridge University! This gave them a taste of university life at Homerton College, one of Cambridge’s prestigious institutions.

The day was all about helping students get excited about Cambridge University and learn how to apply. Here’s what they did:

⭐ Engaging Student Panel Q&A: Our students had the chance to ask current Cambridge students questions about university life and study.

⭐ College Tour: They toured Homerton College, exploring its facilities, learning spaces, and vibrant campus life.

⭐ Academic Taster Sessions: Students explored different subjects through interactive taster sessions, sparking their interest in potential areas of study.

⭐ Cambridge City Tour: The day ended with a tour of the historic city centre of Cambridge.

This trip served as a significant stepping stone for our Early Entry students, providing invaluable insights into the world-class education offered by Cambridge University.

Wickersley Sixth Form is proud of the destinations to which our students progress. Historically, we have secured more places at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, than many other centres.

We are incredibly proud of our students’ commitment to their studies and future plans. We look forward to supporting them throughout their application journey and beyond!
