Recognising Your Progress in Sixth Form

As Exam Season fast approaches, we know our students will be focused on what’s still to come, and the future. Revision, upcoming exams and what feels like a never-ending to-do list can feel overwhelming, and students often lose sight of everything that they have already achieved, which puts them in good stead for the next few weeks.

However, as Y13’s time at Sixth Form comes to an end, it’s also important to reflect on their progress and recognise all their achievements in the last two years.

Since starting with us at Wickersley Sixth Form, our students have developed far more than just subject knowledge. Our students have built resilience, independence and adapted to the increased demands of Sixth Form study. They have taken on new challenges, opened up new ways of thinking and learning, and continued to move forward even when things may have felt difficult.

Every lesson, every piece of work, and every revision session has contributed to where our students are now. Progress might not always seem obvious, but it’s there building steadily over time.

It is very important to remember that success at Wickersley Sixth Form isn’t just down to exam results. It comes from the consistent effort and progress made over two years here.

Exam season brings with it a lot of pressure for students, but don’t let that pressure overshadow everything that you have achieved during your time with us. We don’t ask for perfection from our students, we ask for them to focus and be willing to do their absolute best with the knowledge and skills they have developed over the last two years.

The team at Wickersley Sixth Form are incredibly proud of the progress of all our students. The journey you have been on demonstrates commitment, growth and resilience, and that is something to be celebrated.

To our students: as you approach the exam period, take confidence in how far you have come. You have done far more than you think, and you are well prepared for whatever the future may bring.

We wish you the very best of luck over the next few weeks, and if you need anything our team is always here to support you.
