A Day in My Life at Wickersley

A typical day for me starts in morning form. It eases me into the day and get some reading done before going to lessons. Once classes start, I try to get as involved as possible, asking questions and joining in on discussions. The teachers here are brilliant – they’re incredibly skilled, know their subjects inside out, and genuinely know how to get the best out of you. When I have a free period,  I usually head straight to the Common Room or the local Wickersley Library to get my head down and smash out some independent study. I do my best to stay organised so I can stay on top of my studies. I add all my deadlines, tasks and events into my calendar so that I don’t miss anything, and it really helps me to manage my workload.

Why I Chose Wickersley Over Other Providers

When exploring post-16 options across Rotherham, I evaluated a few different options. Ultimately, Wickersley won me over because of its consistently strong A-Level results and the environment here. Other providers offer a lot of freedom, which you do get at Wickersley Sixth Form, but you know that the support is definitely there if you need it. That’s what I wanted when I was looking at my options.
