Student vs Staff Charity Football Match

Last Friday, 12B organised a staff vs students football match to raise money for the Snowflake Appeal at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The event was a huge success with a brilliant turnout and a really positive atmosphere. After an exciting game of football, 12B emerged victorious with an impressive 7–2 win over the staff team.

The match also tied in with our school’s commitment to the Wickersley Pledges, especially the Active Citizenship Pledge, which encourages students to get involved in volunteering, charity work, and giving back to their community. This fundraiser was a great example of students putting that pledge into action by supporting an important cause and demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and community spirit.

Thanks to ticket sales and the tuck shop, the event raised £265 for the Snowflake Appeal – all of which will go towards supporting the vital work of Sheffield Children’s Hospital. A big thank you to all the staff and students who took part, helped organise the event, or came along to support.
