Y13 Biology Investigations

Y13 Biology students have been busy planning and carrying out their own investigations into how different factors affect the rate of respiration in yeast. This hands-on work allows students to apply their scientific knowledge while developing practical skills such as designing experiments, controlling variables, collecting and analysing data, and drawing valid conclusions.

These investigations form an important part of the skills students need to demonstrate in order to receive their Practical Endorsement Certificate at the end of Y13. It has been fantastic to see the students working independently, thinking critically, and approaching their experiments with curiosity and precision.
