Y12 Economics

This week, our Year 12 economists put their learning into practice by building their own production line in the classroom. The activity allowed them to explore the concept of specialisation and see first-hand how dividing tasks and focusing on specific roles can significantly boost labour productivity.

Students worked collaboratively, assigning different roles along the production line and analysing how efficiency improved as they concentrated on particular tasks. It was a fun and engaging way to understand an important economic principle, helping to link theory with practical experience.
