Y12 Cambridge Chemistry Challenge

Our talented Year 12 chemistry students recently had the fantastic opportunity to take part in the prestigious Cambridge Chemistry Challenge – an advanced competition designed to stretch and challenge the very best young chemists across the country.

This rigorous challenge goes far beyond the standard A Level curriculum, testing students on unfamiliar concepts and encouraging them to apply their problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and scientific reasoning to new and complex situations. It’s a brilliant opportunity for students to explore chemistry in a deeper context and gain recognition for their academic ability and curiosity.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the success of our students who earned awards for their excellent performance:

  • Copper Awards were achieved by Connor, Luke, Omar, and Sojood
  • Silver Awards were earned by Samee and Ziyaad
  • Gold Award, the highest possible recognition, was achieved by Muraad

These awards are not only impressive achievements in their own right, but they also provide valuable evidence of academic excellence for university applications – especially in competitive STEM fields. Taking part in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge is a testament to these students’ dedication and ambition.

Well done to all involved!
