Y12 Chemistry Competition

Today, Y12 Chemistry students took part in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s (RSC) Royal Analyst Competition. During the competition, students had to work in small teams to carry out three practicals, and analyse their results. This year the theme was ‘homes for the future’, where students used titrations, chromatography, and ion tests to check the safety of soil samples.

The students worked brilliantly, and had a good opportunity to enhance their practical skills and work in new groups. They will find out in the coming weeks which team has won, and will be invited to the next round.

Well done, Y12!
