The school runs games at 1st XI and 2nd XI every Saturday morning, has some midweek games and a practice session (open to all) each week throughout the season. Our biggest highlight is winning the national U18 cup in 2003 and we are current Rotherham Champions and still in the South Yorkshire Cup.
The school has an extensive and enviable fixture list. There are games at both 1st XI and 2nd XI on Wednesday afternoons. We play a range of Public Schools, the MCC and overseas touring sides.
We run a 1st XV Rugby Squad with matches played Saturdays and midweek throughout the season. The team will play in the Daily Mail Cup and Vase. This links into South Yorkshire and Yorkshire School representative sides and culminates in an end of season tour to the National School Service.
There are regular fixtures and practices. Teams enter the Rotherham Championships, win it regularly and progress to County rounds of the National Schools Competition. As well as our competitive team sports, we also have non-competitive elements.
An innovative and creative event involving all facets of the school where students and staff work together to create an annual dancing spectacle. Step aerobics have also been made available and we run a Gym club and Trampolining club.
Primarily this is for younger students. It provides an opportunity for our students to be involved in practical sport delivery.
